Super fast, easy setup!

Just got the Cloud Star Hosting and it's amazing! Setup was a breeze, literally had my site up in minutes with the One-Click WordPress Installer. Seriously impressed with how quick everything was. Will absolutely shop here again for future projects!

Decent hosting, minor hiccups

I recently purchased their Cloud Business Hosting plan for 5 years. The performance is good, especially with the high-performance hardware they talk about, and the Free SSL Certificates were a nice bonus. Setup was straightforward, and the cPanel is easy to navigate for managing databases and subdomains. However, I found the website migration service a bit slow. It eventually got done, but took longer than I anticipated. Dedicated support was responsive, though, which helped. For the price of a 5-year plan, it's a solid deal, but expect to be a bit patient if you're migrating an existing site.

Good for small business

I grabbed a 5-year hosting plan a little while ago for my small business site. The SSD storage definitely makes a difference, pages load pretty quick. Had a couple of questions about the cPanel, but their support got back to me pretty fast, which was cool. Price was solid for five years, no monthly nonsense. Overall, it's been a smooth experience so far.

Renewal price for my Cloud Star Hosting jumped quite a bit. Anyone else seeing this with 5 cloudhost?

N NikhilS 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Mine renewed at the standard rate, which was still competitive for what I get with the daily backups and cPanel. So, not really a 'jump' for me, just no more promo pricing.

Good to know. Maybe it depends on the plan or when you signed up.

R Rahul87 1 month ago
Yeah, mine too! I had the Cloud Star plan for 5 years and the renewal was definitely higher than the initial deal. I guess the '5 year hosting bundle discount' is really just for the first term.

Same thing happened to me with a different host, promo rates always end.

D Deepak91 1 month ago
Did you try contacting support about a renewal coupon?
2
A AmitM 1 month ago
I was actually looking into their 'renewal coupon' mentioned in some forums. Haven't found one yet for my Cloud Business plan, but hoping they offer something. Otherwise, I might need to migrate.

C coolboy88 1 month ago
Migration is free with them, so at least that's a plus if you decide to jump ship.

Thinking of moving my WordPress site to 5 cloudhost. Is it really good for WordPress? Especially with that one-click installer and free SSL.

M Meera 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Used it for a small WP blog and it's been surprisingly smooth. The one-click installer worked perfectly and having the free SSL sorted automatically was a huge time saver. Speeds are decent for a basic site.

That's encouraging! Any issues with plugins or themes?

Which plan are you on? Cloud Star or Business?

I'm on the Cloud Business Hosting plan and my e-commerce WordPress site runs fine. cPanel is easy to navigate, and I haven't had any major downtime. Malware scanning gives some peace of mind too.

How does it compare to Bluehost, if you've used them?

G gamerraj 1 week ago
Good to hear about the malware scanning. That's a big plus.

It's okay, but don't expect miracles if you have a high-traffic site. For a personal blog or small business, it's pretty solid given the 5-year hosting plan deals. My only minor complaint is support can be a bit slow sometimes.

R RahulK 1 week ago
Slow support is common with budget hosts, unfortunately.

Hey, thinking about the Cloud Business plan. Are there usually any new customer deals or specific coupons for that plan?

J James T. 1 month ago
Yeah, I grabbed a new customer discount when I signed up for their business plan a few months ago. Keep an eye out around holidays too.

M Mike Reyes 1 month ago
They often have promos for the different plans, business included. You usually get like 10-25% off the 5-year bundle, even if it's already discounted.

Anyone know if 5cloudhost offers a renewal discount code? My 5-year plan is almost up and the initial deal was so good I'm dreading the full price jump.

M MeenaR 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I was in the same boat last year. I contacted support directly a couple of months before expiration and they actually gave me a decent renewal coupon. It wasn't advertised on the site, so worth asking.

Did they offer you another 5-year deal or just a year-to-year discount?
8
P PoojaD 3 weeks ago
I've heard some people get a 'loyalty discount' if they ask. Doesn't hurt to try. Otherwise, sometimes they have seasonal sales around Diwali or New Year that might coincide.

True, I'll keep an eye out for those sales too.

I just let mine renew at the regular rate, didn't even think to ask for a discount. Kicking myself now. The service has been solid though, no complaints there.

Just moved my small business site to 5cloudhost Cloud Business plan. Speeds seem decent but setup was a bit clunky. Anyone else experience that?

R RahulM 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Honestly, I found the migration service super helpful. I just let them handle it and avoided the clunkiness entirely. Saved me a headache.
7
P PriyaS 1 month ago
Hmm, I should've used that. Mine was a fresh install though.

D DeepakG 1 month ago
Which part exactly was clunky? Just curious, thinking of switching my e-commerce site over.

P PriyaS 1 month ago
Mostly connecting domains and setting up email hosting initially. Nothing that wasn't fixable though.

Email hosting can be tricky anywhere.

A Amit87 1 month ago
Yeah, the initial setup for my WordPress site felt a little less polished than I expected. The One-Click Installer worked, but then navigating cPanel to get everything else sorted took some digging. Nothing major, just not super intuitive.

N NikhilK 1 month ago
cPanel always has a learning curve. Once you're in, it's powerful though.

What happens after the five years is up? Do I have to buy another five years or can I just go month-to-month?

A Amber 1 month ago
When my first 5 years was almost up, they sent me an email about renewing. You usually get a renewal option, often with another special offer for another long term. I don't think month-to-month is an option.
4
R Rachel Okafor 1 month ago
I'm pretty sure it's another 5-year term. Their whole thing is those long bundles. They send you reminders before it expires though.

how does this compare to like, Hostinger or Namecheap? seems kinda cheap for 5 years and makes me wonder.

S Steve Romero 2 months ago
I moved from Namecheap to 5cloudhost for my small biz site. Honestly, performance has been way better for the price. The 5-year thing just means you pay upfront, cuts their admin costs.
4
C Chris 2 months ago
It's a different model. Hostinger and Namecheap are more traditional monthly/yearly. 5cloudhost is good if you're set for the long haul and want to lock in a price. Plus, free SSL and stuff.

I'm looking to transfer my WordPress site from another host. Is that a pain or do they help with it?

S Sam 2 months ago
They offer a free migration service. Just open a ticket after you sign up and they'll handle most of it for you. Made it super easy for my site.
5
S Sophie L. 2 months ago
Yep, free migration. Just make sure you have all your login details ready for them and it usually goes smoothly.
